No more "thread icons"?

Yeah, I thought it was just me. I couldn't figure out how to get the post icon working yesterday either?
 
I thought they were removed because the "new" search would find them as words during a search. Am I correct Jason?

I miss them but I also like the uniformity now, everything is the same.

Any word if they are coming back or not?
 
This was already discussed, we're working on a new rating system here at anandtech until that is in play they are turned off.
