Has anyone noticed that the "rules of this forum" thread is gone? Personal attacks...whee! Backup your facts with links? No need! There was some other rule I can't recall...

OK I guess nothing has changed...

That's right. All you flag-avatar (or flag ribbon-avatar) types are fascist jackasses who eat their own poop for breakfast. Ah ha hahahahahaha! :p :D

I believe being a P&N mod would be much like a parent trapped in a car on a long trip with children in the back constantly going "he touched me" and the other child going "he touched me first" over and over. The difference would be PMing the mods with "he broke this rule" "he broke that rule". I would have gotten rid of the sticky for that reason alone.

True. My hope is that the thread is gone because the rules are being revised. We really need an active Mod here, one that could jump in and give warnings and such when "discussions" get out of hand.

Now maybe I get some honest feedback. I think too many people were inhibited in their response.

Oh yah, now I remember the 3rd one. Keep posts on-topic. Now you won't feel so inhibited in your posts, and will range freely off topic

Don't you think the forum is a perfect reflection of who and where we are. If this is kindergarten isn't it because what's where we are. Only you can prevent forest fires, and only you can really make this an issue oriented discussion. We have exactly the forum we deserve, no? Unlike Caddy, I don't believe for a minute that the problems are out there. Well, it's not that there aren't problems out there, but our attitude toward them, how we react to them, constructively or destructively, or even with indifference, that's all up to us. Now if you believe in personal responsibility you will maybe blame others, but personally I don't. I don't think people are capable of personal responsibility because people are not personally able to be conscious. Without consciousness of what motivates you, you can't really choose. You choose and forgot. We choose so long ago we don't remember. But although I don't believe in personal accountability, the notion that I have a right to condemn, I do believe in personal accountability, the notion that you cannot be allowed to do what ever you want. So rules or no rules we should try to do as best we can.

Actually, I almost do too. I just can't resist insulting moonbeam. It's a character flaw, I agree. But with the lifting of the rules, why not?
