I have no problems returning for an exchange.

If they don't have any to replace it, you get a full refund! that's right including shipping 😉 cool.

Newegg has been suckinf eggs lately.

The end of this week will be 4weeks since they promised me a refund and have failed to deliver!!!!

I swear, if another company wants to make it big, this si their chance, because i'm looking to go somewhere else. All the bad customer service i've experienced with newegg is CRAZY...i remmeber when they were so..so..NICE!! now I have these rude people. ah well, DEATH OF A DYNASTY!!!

I dont care if they wont accept them, because then i'll just refund it!! I hate sending back things PERIOD because i'm lazy and I dont liek downtime, but there comes a point where you want what you pay for. When you dont want to be short changed. I've had about 2RMAs from them recently, 1 i asked for and 1 they screwed up and did on their own which they owe me money for.

I ordered the DFI board from them and that being so i just applied for an RMA to refund this current board becaus eof the whole issue of chaintech boards with noises hearting the earses!

I think Newegg directly imports the Soltek mobos since Soltek folded their US tent and went back to Taiwan, so they are the mfr. for all intents and purposes.
.bh.

I feel sorry for all the people who will get a defective motherboard and have to RMA it through the manufacturer. Most of those places have such awful support compared to the Neweggs of the world it's not even funny.

Sorry, that's not the case.

If it's defective you can still give it back to newegg for 30 days.

Heck , how about starting a new policy to RMA everything thru the manufacuter? In other words NO RETURNS AT ALL ...but Id expect prices to lower in return. 🙂

The fact is the failure rate on these things are usually pretty low...its almost always a user error as to why a mobo is not working correctly.

What is all the Hoopla about? ZZF only gives you 15 days, bitch about that 😉

Tthe review will always be good. Especially when you get a board from MSI. Instead of one actually bought from the store. At least now most Anandtech reviews have actual store bought stuff. Best is actual users that used whatever your thinking of getting.

Yes and no on that last part. I like to look over the newegg reviews on a product I plan to get to see what they have to say. But a lot of people are downright retarded and RMA a board that a bios clear likely would have fixed. Or the RMA is because they didn't read the specs correctly.

People have been raving about the MSI NEO2 telling everyone to buy it.
Now what, it sucks?
I don't get it. Why is everyone recommending it then?

My Asus A8V rocks.

That was my thought as well. You have to twist arms to get what you want, and it will still likely take a few months to get it done.

If this policy is in fact true, I will purchase my motherboards from elsewhere from now on. Newegg isn't really more than a couple bucks cheaper.

Because when you get a good board from MSI they rock, but their QC blows so there are strong odds you will get a lemon.

ASUS by far is the most reliable manufacturer (well, other than the mobos Intel and AMD make themselves, perhaps).

Qualify that statement. Or are you just talking out of your a$$ maybe?

Newegg's new(er) policies are starting to suck, but I'm really not surprised by them. Every year they grow more popular means even more noobs who are ordering stuff and then returning it because they don't know what they are doing. Personally, I'll probably be more likely to start ording these items from Zipzoom or the like.

my mobo has been rock solid, even better than my friends DFI, his mobo has many issues, ii guess he just got a lemon and i was lucky enough to get the good one

Newegg seems to be going downhill.
It just took them 2 days to ship out my soundcard. In the mean time my heatsink that I ordered the same day from crazypc arrived today, before my soundcard even shipped from newegg.

Their prices aren't that great anymore, they are doing stupid rebates, and almost everything has shipping now.

I used to almost always get my stuff from newegg, but lately other businesses have newegg beat.

That is a big deal to many.
I like NE alot but am not too much of a fanboy to look elsewhere for mobo's if they wont rma them.
Especially since they have dealt out many with old bioses and other issues that average users cant get to work.

NE might be getting a bit too big.

You can RMA them, for the same part.

You can return them, for a 15% restocking fee.

I dont see what the big deal is.

With MSI and ECS this is not the case.

i just heard a newegg radio ad (pretty long too). this says to me that newegg is definately a larger company than they were a few years ago, starting to spread their name into the non-geeky public relm. whether this impacts their customer service or not we shall find out. looks like many of you have said yes it does impact service. just my 2 cents rite..
