Don't wrap it up and give it to her as a gift. Ask her if she'd want it, because you don't need it. And if she says yes, give it to her. Don't be so shady, be honest.
 
tell her to buy her own damn things...seriously i pay for alot things in mah relationship...but when it comes to things she wants...she's on her own.

why would she think you're cheap? You already have a mp3 player, and don't need the extra one, so you're just being nice and giving it to someone you care about.
 
If any girl gets mad/upset for getting a gift, much less a nice MP3 player, you need to kick her to the curb. Who cares where/how you got it?

Just be a man and make your own decision on what is right for you. If she gets mad over something trivial, that's HER problem. If I were you, I would use the Ipod Shuffle and sell the old player. She knew about the deal and didn't want to do it so it's her loss.
 
kinda hand it to here and at the last minute, wrap it around your neck, look at her all beady-eyed and say "[frodo]the shuffle's mine![/frodo]"
 
ugh, get a new g/f if she's one that would think a shuffle is a cheap insulting gift. thats way shallow. unless ur giving it as an bday or anniversary gift of course. but as a gift for no apparent reason she has no reason not to accept and be happy. i mean really..u didn't pay for your winkie after all right?

dude, if your lady thinks your cheap for giving her an ipod shuffle, then leave her. she's going to be more trouble than that later down the road. like, if my girlfriend gave me an ipod shuffle i'd wet my pants with glee. and if it were free i'd be happier, because then she wouldnt have wasted all that money on me. ya know. and if she does think you're cheap, then take it back and tell her to get over herself. a nice gift is still a nice gift, without regard to the price. bah, there are chicks out there like that, and those chicks are teh suck.
