I have been a regular pot smoker for 20+ years. I had to give up pot this past week for both health and employment reasons. No big deal. I am actually doing quite well and don't miss it that much. However, I have not had a BM since Monday, the last day I smoked. The last time I had to quit for an extended amount of time, the same thing happened, no BM for over 10 days. I had to be hospitalized and suffice to say, I started smoking again once I was released and bam, BMs were normal again.

Has anyone experienced similar results? If so, what did you do short of taking laxatives to correct the problem. I have been excercising daily, drinking lots of fluids, but I don't have much of an appetite so I am not taking in a lot of food (no more munchies). Fiber drinks don't seem to help, eating shredded wheat cerial is not helping either.

Any suggestions?

My suggestion is to go to a Medical Website where those responding to your questions won't be so juvenile.

ExLax.

BTW, what type of employment reasons made you quit? If it's for a drug screen, you'll still be positive for THC on a drug screen.

Applesauce

Fiber Cereal

Senna

This is the recipe given to my wife by her doctor for constipation due to taking large doses of opioids.

note to self: smoking pot makes your sh!t into bricks, and the only reason you can pass said bricks is because you're so high you don't know

I have a scheduled 10 panel in 6 weeks. I am pretty skinny and have a fast metabolism, so I should be OK there. I am trying to stay away from laxitives as I don't want to become dependant on them either :)

Thanks! I might try that Senna, it appears to be very mild which is appealing.

Tell that to most people 55+.... just think of it as practicing at an earlier age

Ohh and if you want, Drink or eat food with alot of Splenda in it. It will give anyone the runs once you've had enough. Comes out real stinky too.

oh, and if you are feeling adventurous put a tablespoon of salt into a quart of warm water and chug. That will pass through you faster than you can imagine.

(If you do it, my advice is don't fart)

Ohh.... want to know a really nasty concoction? Cheap beer, I use Lone Star for this around here, ice cream made with Splenda, and Ruffles Potato Chips made with Olean.

You won't get off the toilet for a week if you are lucky.

LOL. I thought that, too. I had 4 soft tacos last night for dinner from the Bell and still, squat. No pun intended.
