We have a Celeron 1.3ghz HP with 256 ram and onboard vid. Now this is no gaming machine (no apg slot!) so I have saved my butt off and have $2500 (australian so divide it by 2)... Weeks of research later and days before my purchase I think to myself... "screw that I'm buying a Nissan 200sx turbo". Of course that'll cost me 20k but I can get a loan for that and use the cash I saved on wheels/stereo/insurance...

*sigh* back to gaming on the old HP...

Yeah unless you use your pc for work, nobody needs the latest hardware, I get along with a Celeron 266MHz 192MB RAM just fine for Web browsing, document editing and e-mails.
