No more Mario for Gamecube.

I read somewher that they weren't making anymore mario games for gamecube but there might be a probability. How badly does that suck. Mario games are the best. I've always hoped for another Mario game for N64, but lost hope and now I lost hope with gamecube. Nintendo sucks now, just releasing rehashes for every new system to keep them afloat. Well, I don't think I'm buying it anymore. What do you think?

I thought there was a new game with Mario *and* Luigi coming out -- but maybe that was on the GBA. I haven't heard any such thing from Nintendo... and how are they "not making more" if there "might be a possibility" that they'll make another one?

I think I'm eagerly awaiting Mario Kart Double Dash.

I don't think so, they got mario party, mario cart, i mean sunshine sucked, but i tihnk they'll make another "adventure" mario game.

100 Marios appears to have been moved to GC2 based on all the recent announcements. Mario and Luigi isn't a 'Mario' game in the sense that the subject is about. Unfortunately, the GameCube is going to be the first Nintendo system without a Mario game that was Directed by Miyamoto. Sunshine turned out very good(if you enjoy platformers, of course), but it was far from the revolutionary leap that we tend to see when Miyamoto is in direct control of a title(versus being a producer).

Actually, my wife and my daughter both don't care for Mario games(the real ones, the platformers) but myself and all my sons(three) enjoy the games greatly.

I really think anandtech needs to add a "games" forum to keep posts like this in a proper place, because video obviously ain't it.

I absolutely love mario games. I love platformers.

Mario Kart is the biggest cheating piece of lard ever created. - play it on hard. I don't like that kind of programming. I think its cheap and insulting.

The possibility was that Mario 128 was going to come to gamecube, but a representative said that it could only be a possibility, but they don't think so. What happened to the Nintendo days. Super Mario Bros. 1,2 and 3. Each time, we see less Mario games.

And know what also annoys me, why did they separate Mario and Luigi. They should make a game with both of them in it.

Why isn't Video a good place for this, Mario is a VIDEO game. People come here and talk about PC games, Mario runs on a PC. A Nintendo PC.

I saw a VIDEO of Tom frying an AMD CPU. Maybe I should post my findings here in Video?

Also, I have a VIDEO camera for sale, I'll be posting it here shortly.

Just because video games have the word "video" in the title doesn't mean they're appropriate for this section - use your head and put it in software or OT.

I agree though, we really should have just a "games" section.

If I were to put it in software then you wouldn't be able to speak of video card drivers here. Because that is software. All the stuff about benchmarks and HL2 and Halo, thats all software. What are you narrowing it down to. Video is too broad a term.

How about the section titled (highlighted for those hard of seeing): Software - Applications, Programming and Games?
