No more Hotmail from Outlook

Just got an email from hotmail saying that no future accounts created will be able to be accessed through outlook. The scary thing is that i would concider paying for the premium service if they decided to cancel the old accounts as well.
 
i think that the options are pretty limited for that. I was going to use thunderbird insted of outlook but since i could not access hotmail i decided not too. having contacts, MSN messenger, hotmail and pop mail integrated is just too simple to change right now.
 
Hotmail disallowed any non paying accounts from using 3rd party e-mail programs because people found ways to use some of those programs to send spam out using free accounts. At least that is the official word on the matter.
