k, awhile ago i asked for some help on deciding what i should do for my gf and i's one year. i decided on a HOT AIR BALLOON ride...yes that sounds uber fun. some time later (credits to that person for saving me muchos muchos money:beer: ) , someone advise me to tell her cause she might object to the idea, another , well turns out she did, sigh. gotta get back to the drawing board. this sucks. i hate planning crap like this cause its gotta be all special and memorable.

she even ruled out sky diving, helicoptor ride around sf, sailing (i have my certificate).

Santa Cruz the city, or Santa Cruz the island? I have no idea what you'd do with an ATV in Santa Cruz, the city.

my old college roomate told me he and his brother went to santa cruz city and rented atv's for half a day, cost em 100 each.

I lived in Santa Cruz for over 20 years. It's a city, with paved roads. You're not allowed to drive on the beach unless you're a lifeguard. I have NEVER seen an ATV on the beach. I don't know what the heck you would do with an ATV in Santa Cruz. Maybe there's some place in the mountains that rents them or something, but I've never heard of it.
