On a less related note, I am really scared for Mario Kart Wii. Is there any information whether it supports use of a joystick or GC controller? I am elated that Brawl, at least, allows the use of a GC controller.

You can in fact use NGC controllers for Mario Kart Wii.

it's also been released that you'll lose some functionality too, just dunno what yet.

Could it be.....motion sensing?!

Wouldn't surprise me. Nintendo has got to be embarrassed that the Wavebird is the controller of choice for their current smash hit - SSBB. They'll downplay it however they can to get some momentum back to the Wiimote.

I'm somehow doubt they're that upset about it. If they really cared they wouldn't have let them add it to the game. Nintendo (oddly) is one of the few devs that realize that not every Wii game requires motion controls to be used for everything.
