Their contract with pioneer expires and may not renew...

I never personally used their drivers but to be honest I didn't want to because I don't like drives that have their logo branded in huge white letters on the tray. I'd prefer it to just be blank.

I bought two ASUS 2014L1Ts. Found out they are horrible burners, especially with dual layer media. Wound up replacing both.

Got a Pioneer 215dbk which is fantastic and an Optiarc 7201S which is also not a good burner. Was going to get the Pioneer DVR-213LS because it has lightscribe but read that those drives were really manufactured by Asus not Pioneer! I also read this was the first drive that Pioneer didn't manufacturer for themselves. Anyway, it stopped me from buying it and I got the Optiarc instead. Still looking!!!!
