These guys claim that they make a tube that cannot be puntured, and will never need replacing. It's made from a variable air dense lightweight polymers. Anyone try these?

Any opinions. I'm tried of fixing my bike tubes, and no, slime and other additives don't work well enough, loose too much air before I it's sealed, if I'm lucky.

I don't know. They're almost a pound (what's that, 450 grams?) of extra weight per tube and $22 each.

How about you let me know? ;)

Back when I use to ride my bike, I had this hard plastic lining that I put in between the tire and intertube. It actually worked too, I don't remember what it was called or if they still make it. Doesn't add much weight to your tires and its pretty cheap like 5 dollars a roll, Check out a bike shop or sporting good store....

LOL, I remember those. My dad got tired of replacing tubes, so he bought these. They weighed about 3 pounds each :Q

Man, that was back in the late seventies or very early eighties IIRC...

Hee hee - even according to their own web site, the tubes are "only about 14 ounces heavier than a normal thorn-proof inner tube," and even your average thorn-proof tube is a real heavyweight. I go out of my way to buy lightweight tubes, and if and when I ever decide I need additional flat protection I will just use standard tubes with Slime or the perfectly nice Slime tubes.
