AIM, MSN, Yahoo and ICQ will not work on my computer right now, I am running windowsXP.
The problem started when I accidently hit the power button while talking on AIM which caused a reboot. For some unexplainable reason all hell has broken loose ever sense. I have scanned my computer for viruses, I uninstalled and reinstalled internet explorer, I turned off my firewall, I turned off NAV, I've tried disabling everything in the background. For reasons unknown I can't even download the AIM client from AOL's FTP. This easily ranks as one of the most strange problems I've ever seen. My internet connection is fine at probably around 500Kbps on my cable connection.
Oh, and on top of that I tried system restore and that wouldn't even function. It said it could not be completed and no changes to my configuration were made. Someone PLEASE help. All I can think of now is to format the HD and reinstall Windows XP just because I accidently hit the power button once, WTF??????????????????????
