unless you live in certain parts of the northeast.

The McLobster Rumor is McFake, Says McDonald's
McDonald's says the rumors of the McLobster coming to the U.S. are false.

I live where you can get one, occasionally. Not too bad, actually.
This year was a record for the lobster catch in New England, so I am hoping to see it available soon, near where I live.

Yeah, no corn soup or hamburger buns made of rice in the US McDonald's either. :(

Here in New England there are plenty of places to get an excellent lobster roll. I wouldn't ever eat one from McDonalds.

They've had crab cake here in MD before. It's probably about what you'd expect. Tasty, but nothing like a real crab cake. It's worth getting when on the road, and in a hurry. Not really what you go for when you're in the mood for crab cakes.

First I see that fawning documentary on MSNBC which shows a gaggle of professional chefs slaving over the next big McDonalds sandwich. Then I see what appears to be a turd burrito.

And now this latest abomination. Does not compute.

the MOST AMAZING turd burrito, made with the freshest dog turds caught this morning at the park, aged plant matter, some kind(s) of salt and sugar sauce made in a factory, and carefully handmade by skilled cooks with PASSION!

That's first thing I thought of when I saw the comment about record lobster catch. I bought and ate lot of lobsters the past year since it was so cheap. Looking forward to doing it again. $6/pound lobster rock.

They have the McLobster in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Never seen it anywhere else. Not sure I'd want to eat it. My dislike for McDonald's combined with my hatred of shell fish makes it a double whammy of grossness.

For further bathroom reading, Japan has some pretty wacky menu items at McD's.

Yet if you wrap this with a nice pretty package, charge double for it, call it fresh, and serve it in an "upscale" looking place, people will eat it up and say it tastes good. Serve the exact same thing at McDonald's and it'll taste like crap.

I barely trust their actual meat products. Seafood...no way.
The uncooked products are top quality. The problem is that McDonalds cooks stuff in advance then lets it sit. I have a friend who work at mcdonalds and it's not unusual for an angus burger to sit in the warming tray for 8 hours.

While we're talking about turds. Has anybody had Burger King's new shit-with-corn-kernels burger?
