No manual with HL2?

WTF?

Jeez, ever since those damn small game boxes were introduced manuals have become crappier, and now there's none? I love the manual when I buy a game, all the pictures and stuff (I love pictures)...anyone remember those Jane's games? With the manual in the form of a binder, chock full of info?

And now HL2, a big-budget all-around awesome game - is shipping without a manual?:| WTF

Doug Lombardi - That's correct. There is a quick reference card included to guide folks through installation and set up. And Prima will be releasing the official strategy guide.

Prima, "Half the crap that should've been in a manual included with the game, but they were too cheap to include. So now you get to play $25 more for the game." inc.

In Soviet Russia, can reads video game manuals while it sits on you!

i read u are also required to register the game online, so i guess they're just assuming everyone is not totally ignorant when it comes to computers and games

I remember back in the days of "Tie Fighter", "Starcraft", and "Jazz the Jackrabbit" where companies would actually put oodles of information about the game universe in those manuals. Manuals were 100 pages + back then 🙁

Remember even further back when the manual was "piracy protection?"

Star Trek: Klingon Academy - the manual is so thick that it's spiral-bound.
