This episode was horribly repetitive. Much like most of this season...and oh look...someone else gets kidnapped. I've said this 809 times before...The writers have no clue where to go with this show so they're using gimmicks over and over again.

Everyone always bitches about Lost now. The haters should stay out of the Lost threads.

I missed 35 minutes of it. It didn't seem too exciting for what I seen though, plus I'm not really a fan of Charlie's backstories. Preview tho, wow looked pretty intense tho about Sun! Still , I'm just gonna wait another 10 minutes and get the torrent. I pretty much have watched every Lost episode 2-3 times or more EACH! (I'm an addict, and the high point of the week falls at 9pm Wednesdays :))

edit: And damn, I didn't know of the 2 week hiatus! Bah, two weeks, I may or may not be able to live with that!

so when's the next episode airing? I really liked the previous 3 episodes....but tonights was a downer, much like the first several of this season. It has potential, but I'm really ticked that they seem to be pretty rudderless right now as far as plot goes

I love Lost and haven't bitched yet this season (unlike a certain poster who posted right before you), but this episode was lame.

Agreed....Tonight's episode was a waste of airtime. Nothing positive towards any of the big picture story items. Uhhg...

Message to the writers > please stick to the story and tone down the filler.

EDIT - Just so you know, I've seen every episode from both seasons.

that's just one reason he's an asshole...

he was the same to Jack before they blew the hatch...remember Jack said to Kate we're going to have a Locke problem?

Also, in the preview for next week, it seems Locke has stolen all the guns...if that's not an asshole I don't know what is.

Also, my thread about the show being good vs. evil, god vs the devil is right....that's all you see from the show, everything has religious connotations

I haven't missed an ep this season, and it just bothers me when there's one like this where it seems like nothing important happens. Maybe the writers have some master plan, but I'm getting more and more skeptical each week. I get the feeling this show isn't meant for me. I just don't enjoy watching it that much as this season is progressing.

I'm just ticked because I looooved season 1, and I think they could be doing so much more than shoving it full of filler. Fanboy idiots are going to say stuff like 'ooooh look someone else got kidnapped this week..see it's moving forward' but it's just the same filler stuff happening over and over.

I kept thinking that something SHOCKING or COOL would happen right at the end to save this episode..but nope. This episode may tie in to something later other than that it looked like a bunch of filler as stated before.

I'm a big Lost fan and I have to agree. Tonight's episode was bad. What the frig is going on with Charlie? There's no way he was freaking out about the baby not being baptized. It's not like at any point in the show they've portrayed him to be one of the hardcore religious types. So he starts acting like he's on drugs again, like he wants everyone to think he's crazy. WTF!
On the plus side, Lizzy or whatever her name is, is hiding something from Hurley. Maybe he'll finally be the one to score on that friggin island. I mean come on. Desserted island, men and women, you're telling me nobody but the korean dude has scored yet?

I'm not talking about the people who found it to be a sub-par show, but the people coming into the thread every week to whine about it. Don't watch it then maybe? :D

Yeah I missed over half of it but it seemed pretty weak, as well as the others comments. Thats definitely expected, there was a few weak and slow episodes from Season 1. 24 episodes is quite a lot, you can't expect them all to give a bunch of things away.

And weird in the preview that Jack blows up "WHERE'S THE GUNS NOW???!!!". He's a pretty cool character and half the reason they are alive and doing well but damn he gets all up on people about stupid crap.

I think this was a pretty important episode, but I am still confused about why.

I think we finally see that Charlie has come to terms with himself and his past...and more importantly he has realized what his role on this island is. In other words, he understands the island, in the same way that Locke and Ecko have. There must have been a reason that they focused on his face at the end. That look in his eyes, it meant something.

There is also something about baptizing it. Remember last season how someone told Claire that she should goto LA or something bad will happen to the baby? there is something special about that kid since there was a lot of foreshadowing set in place in Claire's backstory.

On another note, I liked Ana Lucia's line "you hittin' it?"...hehe it was pretty funny. :)

I thought that line/whole scene was pretty awkward and felt very out of place.

I felt like this whole episode was poorly done. The dialogue was pretty weak, and it added pretty much nothing to the plot. If anything, it only made us hate two of the main characters. Claire and Locke were both portrayed as unforgiving, untrusting assholes. The whole Locke punching Charlie thing was totally out of character and didn't fit at all.

A little lame. But I think people should focus on Locke rather than Charlie. He is up to no good and was playing Charlie. He changed the combo on the gun cabinet, plus he stored all the heroin. He is definetly plotting something.
