No longer recognizes my DVD-RAM drive.

My BIOS and Windows no longer recognizes my LG DVD-RAM drive. What happened? I had to borrow one of those little blue things because my CMOS clear little blue thing fell off. Could this be the problem?

First suggestion would be the check and/or replace the data and/or power cable before digging too deep or spending money.

I feel really stupid. Somehow the power cable fell off. At least it was something easy for a change.
