No longer a buyers market??

Market dynamics are suggesting the PC industry is finally recovering:

Memory pricing is usually the best leading indicator. Crucial 256M DDR sticks have gone from about $30 to $47 in just a few weeks.

Go to Newegg and look at P4's. Sure alot of "out of stocks".

Hot promo's have been pretty aenemic lately.

What are you all seeing?

If you study last year market/price, then you'll find that it's a typical trend for prices to go higher & inventories depleted during this season. After the New Year, you'll see prices going down again.🙂

There is a P4 "shortage", particularly of the 2.0GHz parts. I believe it's artificial, solely to drive up prices. Intel isn't used to selling their flagship for at or about 400 bones.

The funny thing about NewEgg is that on the P3/P4, they have hundreds of user reviews -- but you can't read any of them. I wonder why? 😀

Neweggs rating system is all f*cked up. You can't even rate anything because the form doesn't have a submit button and the bottom is cut off.
