EDIT: Problem solved with new power supply.

My 5 y.o. nephew was playing some kinda game on my puter (Abit KT7-R/Antec/T-Bird)
and it quit working. I thought I smelled something like plastic burning.

Felt around inside the case and the power supply was really hot.

I know the outlet is working ok.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jeff

have you been able to try another psu? hopefully it is the psu, maybe the fan died in there and fried it up?

it sounds like psu's fan blew... and that might've taken your psu along with it.

unplug the psu from everything.
mobo... hd... cdrom.

and using a paperclip... connect the green wire and any black one.
and see if the fan runs.

Yep...it was the power supply.

Put a new one in there and everything powered on.

Thanks, guys,
Jeff
