No keeping score in youth sports, no winnars or losers..= pussification of our youth?

I heard from my wife that they dont keep score in my nephew's tee ball league. She also told me that they are starting to teach kids in school there are no winners or losers...

Fuck that, what happened to winning isnt everything, it is the only thing!!! You are supposed to pound your opponents into the dirt and make them recognise your dominance. Being superior to those around you is the only way to succed in life. what has this country come to?

The reason i bring this up is my wife told me her friend's daughter tried to correct my son that there are no winners or losers when they were playing (he pumps his fist and yells i'm the winner!).

I said that's bullshit, of course there are. I race him all the time on our bicycles and in mario kart...he gets super excited when he wins. That's when she told me about the tee ball...

Depends on the age. For younger kids (under 6, say) I could see it.

I think the bigger issue is that kids are pressured to do so much more at much younger ages.

It is much better to let the nephew know how much of a loser he'll be early on so he will not get his hopes up later in life.

After all, someone needs to serve me my food when I eat out.
