No internet for three days!

I know this hasn't been mentioned, but check if your neighbors have wireless internet, then what you do is use your wireless capability to get into their network. this involves quite a bit of hacking knowhow, but everything you need to know to learn how to do it is in The Matrix movie.

It's amazing how dependant we are on our internet - I use random lookup searches like 5-10 times a day, just for trivial information - I have access to such a ridiculously large pool of information when I'm connected that when I'm not, I feel disabled.
