No internet connection with two nics, Server 2003

I am running Windows Server 2003 with dual nics. One nic is connected cable modem, running nat/firewall. Other nic is running lan, 192.168.1.1, dns, dhcp, active directory. If I disable the lan nic I can connect to the internet. Once I enable the lan nic, no more internet connection. I think this is a dns issue, but not sure. Any help would be great.

You probably have a default gateway on the internal nic remove the default gateway on your internal nic or create static routes to the internal networks in your network
