No Image Scaling with 1905FP?

If I were to, say, hook up a video game console to the RGB port of my 1905FP, would there be a way to have the image not be scaled to 1280x1024? I'd want to use unscaled 720p, naturally, but it doesn't seem that the 1905FP has a setting for scaling functionality in the OSD.

Most LCD monitors don't have scaling options - you usually have to do that through the video card. Therefore, the image will most likely be scaled to full screen. Some of the higher end DELLs have built-in scaling options, but probably not the 1905FP.

Forgive my ignorance, but when can the display adapter control control the scaling? I was under the impression that while in an OS like Windows any fullscreening, etc., was application controlled.

I also seem to remember there being a menu in the Nvidia driver menu concerning how to set the video card scaling, but it appears to have mysteriously been replaced with a mult-display menu. What the heck?
