No image next to username, XP x64 (and XP)

I've actually had this problem with XP as well, but after installing a fresh copy of XP x64 last night, I found that after one reboot the image next to the username (for the administrator account) when you drop down the Start button, went away. Does anyone happen to know why this happens and if it's possible to get it back? I tried changing from a MS provided image to my own and back again, no luck.
