No idea where to begin with choosing phones...for AT&T family plan...

I don't really even know what I'm asking here. I'm going to get a family plan from at&t and get new phones for myself and my wife.

I'd like a decent smart phone, preferably with a Windows OS (have school apps that require it or Palm, no blackberry unfortunately), and a QWERTY keyboard.

My wife will need a phone too. She would want something smaller and cuter.

Anyone have suggestions? 🙂 Sorry, I know this is broad, but any guidance/help is greatly appreciated!

If you want to buy it new, Best Buy has some good free phones. If not you can scour the web for some unlocked phones. I would get a Windows OS over the Palm if that is your two choices.

For AT&T cell phones this place lists them all:
http://www.gsmarena.com/

Pretty much everything there (with a few exceptions for Europe-only) phones should work on AT&T's network. Lots of reviews of AT&T compatible smartphones.

What I would do is go to AT&T, see what they have, play with a few phones and then write them down and then either Google them for a review, or go to GSMArena. Do the same thing with your wife - write down what she thinks is a nice phone and then research it. If you find something on GSMArena that you really like that AT&T doesn't sell, then I'd recommend Ebay.

Also check Amazon.com - they often have better deals on AT&T phones and plans than AT&T does.

Thanks guys, I will check out GSMArena and Amazon, as well as Best Buy (since I'm close to one). Appreciate the suggestions! I really didn't even know where to start, so that gets me off an running.
