Hi,
I got a Radeon 9200 for my Dell Dimension 2350. I installed and installed the drivers and it took my about a day to get an imageon the 9200. I disabled the integrated card and enabled the 9200. When i connect the monitor to the 9200 i only get the wallpapper in the middle of the screen but no icons or anything. There is the mouse. When I connect the monitor to the onboard video the icons are huge and very rough looking and i have a wallpaper. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP?! THANKS

go to task manager and make sure explorer.exe is running and if it isnt then start it :)

if that doesnt work then your OS is messed up... try to reinstall XP

What's that?

Anyways, did you check to make sure you didn't uncheck "Show desktop icons" (Right-click desktop --> Arrange Icons by --> Show Desktop Icons).

What integrated card do you have?

Did you uninstall the integrated video device from the device manager before installing the new card?

I have a Intel integrated card. Also here are the steps i took of installing this.
1 - Put the new card in
2 - Start computer and install drivers
3 - Disable the Intel from Device Manager
4 - Enable the Radeon
5 - Connect the monitor to the Radeon
Nothing comes up

You currenlty have both monitors enabled, its treating this new card as a secondary disply, right click goto properities and disable to ther video card, both in device manager, and if its integrated, do it in the bios aswell. if there is still a problem right click goto propereities then settings (where you change the resolution) then make the second monitor primary.

hey
thanks for your response. This might be a stupid question but when you say "do it in the bios aswell" what does that mean? How do I do it? Thanks
