I won't cry I promise. I might moan though. That happens after every election lol

Hardly makes me an idiot. I would say a realist. But you are free to label me what you wish.

You moan about results you refused to try to change. That makes you an idiot...and a whiner. No one likes a whiner.

I don't see how you can call yourself a US citizen if you refuse to participate. If you honestly cannot find any candidate you can tolerate (and write them in) then I suggest moving to North Korea where the decision is made for you. Too many people have shed their blood or given their lives to enable what you so gleefully through away in your false sense of superiority.

Voting is pointless from a mathematical perspective. Why does someone need to engage in a pointless ritual to be a real American?

It's not that the outcome isn't important, as there are vast differences between parties, it's that you cannot affect the outcome.

I have local issues that are critical.

One does not have to vote for a party or person from one of the two major parties;
the fringe/third party, wackos, etc are also there.

by ignoring the vote; you are sanctioning the status quo that you are complaining about.

By participating you are doing the same. No?

As stated, you have the option of indicating your displeasure by not choosing an alternate person or not selecting anyone.

That is different than not voting.
the lack of a choice is still registered by your participation.

Also, by not voting at all; you essentially forfeit your right to complain about the winner or loser(s). You refused to express your choice.

I will be.

Yes. Obviously you have not been.

Did you like Bush's false flag war(s)? (in reference to Iraq)

Did you like how Obama said he was going to reverse the Bush foreign policy but instead furthers it? (drone strikes baby yeah!)

I'm not so sure the wool hasn't been pulled over your sheepish eyes.....

Was it Florida that affected the nation by under 1K votes.

There are other jurisdictions where a single vote has made the tilt.

By not voting you are ceding the decisions/outcome to those that give a damm.

So your argument is that people should vote because they have a one tenth of one percent chance to affect the outcome in your best case scenario?

Surely you can see that's a terrible argument.

Oh no you misinterpret. I don't moan over the election results so much as which party wins. Its the fact that people like you think they are "doing something" when in fact they are reinforcing the problem.

I wasn't going to vote, but after the decision on the mandate I don't want even more liberal interpretations of the Constitution. We might as well throw the thing away if it gets much worse. Consequently I'm going to vote for the person least likely to put in the worst possible choices, and that would be Romney. Note I'm only doing so because of SCOTUS nominations. We have no real choices as things are set up and I don't want to be a party stooge. They own us and I know it. I'm voting for Supreme Court justice nominations.
Didn't 'conservatives' nominate Roberts?

That's a false statement. I can and do have the right to complain about them both. Neither party has given any one of us a reason to show support for them. But sheep will continue to buy in to a process that is fixed. Its kinda like being given a choice of two meals from one restaurant. Whichever you buy (vote for) the establishment gets the money (wins).

Yes, it removed a dictatorship and installed a democracy. Due to this, the Arab Spring happened.

You are a one issue voter and claim others are stupid. Interesting. Please do not whine about the results you refuse to try to change, no one likes a whiner.

You whine about the results after you refuse to do anything about them. Why are you purposefully being a whiner?

If after 4 years of watching obummer you haven't seen enough yet to want to throw him out, then I support your decision not to vote ;)

This is akin to "I have no argument! leave me alone! I scream louder!"

I have never voted and probably never will. I do not lie to myself by believing my vote will ever make a difference in an election.

There are far more efficient ways to better this country than by voting.

I am voting on one issue. That issue is the economy.

I will be voting for Romney.

6 NOV 2012
Time to take the trash out!

Because Romney will be great for the economy. Too bad it will be India's economy.

So you want to overturn Roe V. Wade and also ensure that money is forever enshrined in our politics? The ACA has already been ruled constitutional, so not sure what benefit you think you'll get from Romney appointed judges.

You are really annoying. That's not a compliment if you're confused. You have admitted you have no argument. No go play somewhere else. Grown ups are having a discussion.

Voting is mathematically pointless from the perspective of the individual. Publicly telling people not to vote is, however, counter-productive to the system. Low turnouts are not good for us.

Do you want judges which will nationalize every business and make you a government employee against your will?

Sweet, don't vote. The more people who don't the more my vote is worth.

I'll vote 3rd party. I agree that unless you are in a swing state, your vote doesn't really matter. I'm not in a swing state, so my vote doesn't matter.
