Just noticed this when converted ID String/Firmware of Iomega to the Plextor. Iomega had audio output when I plugged in a headphone on the drive. No audio output on headphone when converted to a Plextor. Same problem on both Windows 98/2000. Did not change anything on my setup/preferences. Thought at first that the drive was defective. Reconverted ID String/Firmware to Iomega 121032, and got audio output back on headphone. BTW, audio from soundcard/speakers still works great either way. Did all the reboots between convertions with Win 98. Besides this minor thing, drives works great. Almost drove back to CompUSA to exchange it, since receipt shows no refund or exchange after 14 days (Sunday, Jan 14th)
Anybody else encounter this problem????? Is this a bug in the hack/firmware???

My mistake. Changed ID String to Plextor again. Downloaded a 1.07 firmware (531 kB), previously used a 442 kB from another source. Forgot that headphone audio only works when you play CD files, not *.wav files on the CD. Works like a charm now. Thanks again....
