No Hard Drive busy light

I just built the system below and everything works except the busy light for when the HD is in use. This is my first experience with an SATA HD. Does that have anything to do with light not working? Not that it is necessary, but would like for it to do what it supposed to do.
 
Try reversing it because it is polarized (LED). It seems like everytime I plug one in I have to reopen the box and switch it around because I put it the wrong way. Good Luck.
