I have a system built with an Asus P5Q Deluxe motherboard and Vista Home Premium 64.

During boot-up, before going into Windows, as BIOS message are displayed, I briefly see a message, "Adapter 1 Disks Information: No hard disk is detected!" but both my hard drives work fine - the O/S has always recognized them and the BIOS set-up automatically recognizes them both.

Also, if it helps in describing the situation, I have two hard drives, both SATA and my CD Drive is SATA also. Those are the only drives. Also, my BIOS is up-to-date.

What could be causing this? Does it indicate a problem?

I figured it out.

The BIOS option for Marvell IDE Controller is set to enabel by default and since I have no IDE device it gives that message. I disabled it, any message went away.
