I wish I had a $1 for every time I asked the kid at the counter for a nutritional guide at a fast food restaurant and got a deer in the headlights look in return.

I'd be replying to this post from my yacht in the Caribbean right now.

If you only knew how fucking stupid this statement made you look.

I cannot think of a single FF restaurant where I have ANY trouble finding the nutritional info.

Like the way that car makers put seat belts in cars 'most effectively' by the rewards and punishments of using your wallet, not by the government requiring them.

Silly liberals. My car happens to have 10 airbags, of which only 2 are mandated. My car also happens to have anti-lock brakes which are not mandated by the government.

Isn't SF overdue for an earthquake?

Aren't you funny. The bay area was predicted about 2000 to be one of the three biggest disaster threats to the US, the other two being a terrorist attack and a big storm possibly flooding the Southeast like around New Orleans. There will be a major earthquake, the question is not if but when. It's expected to possibly be the worst disaster in US history, if I recall the estimates correctly. There will be massive damage and there will be casualties.

You are a real class act, thinking that's funny.

This coming from the guy that advocated bombing Texas.

If a 13 year old gets pregnant and wants an abortion all we hear about is privacy, its their body, and the parents shouldn't even necessarily be even told.

If they want to eat a happy meal, SHUT THEM DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, now do you have anything to say that's even remotely related to the topic?

So if he asks enough times he gets something? Sounds great. Your nephew will be tempted with far greater things in his future. Maybe this is a great opportunity to start teaching him about life.

Nice for you and boober to make wild assumptions based on your ideological analysis.

First thing I will do is-in the spirit of our conversation-is to deflect and say Wow boober, isnt staying home at the expense of taxpayers a bad influence on your child? shouldn't you teach him how to be independent and pay his own way? What a horribly irresponsible parent you are..maybe child services should pay you a visit....

How did you like that?

What we are finding out is that unhealthy food has a deep and permanent influence on children. It sets them up for failure on many levels and has as deep a grip on the weak as do drugs and cigarettes...

I have no problem with Mcdonalds selling their food and making a profit in the same vein as I have no problem with RJ reynolds selling cigarettes to people who clearly know they are bad for them. What I have a problem with is them selling those cigarettes to children.

Is removing soda and sugary drinks from schools a bad idea? Is obesity not an issue?

BTW amused this law hasnt taken away anyone's freedom to eat whatever they want...all it does is remove advertising targeted at children..

Sounds like a first amendment violation to me.

But then, the left doesn't like freedom much anyhow, so what's the point?

What assumptions have I made? You're the one who said your nephew whines for Happy Meals until he gets them... just say your nephew may benefit from more parenting and less SF laws. ;)

the assumption is he has bad parents...just like I am assuming you have no idea what it is to be a parent...

Yes, it's so terrible there is only one obvious final solution...

You don't solve the world's ills by dictating behavior and taking away freedom.

Funny that you'd post the result of one of the most successful advertising campaigns in history.

If you read my first response to you you'll see I didn't do that... looks like you're the one jumping to conclusions. ;)

So removing cigarette advertising from TV was wrong then? How about having Joe Camel show up at schools and give away Joe Camel gear to your kids?

You know my car can go 150 miles and hour and I am responsible and skilled enough to drive that fast so clearly the laws to keep speeds down are taking away my freedoms..

BTW the left doesnt corner the taking away freedom market according to your own flawed logic. The Neo con's gave us the dept of homeland security and justified torture and murder of our own citizens....how about pointing your anger at the real issues we have now...

Yeah, that's how I read it. Sounds like his nephews are spoiled and has weak-willed parents.

My daughter never whined for Happy Meals because she knew whining didn't work on me. Heck, by the time she was 6 her favorite fast food was a Subway tuna sub with lettuce, olives and tomatoes. Might be a little more fat than she needs in the mayo, but she didn't get cheese on her sub so I figure it evened out.

Ummm, the Democrats gave us those things as well. Go check the voting record.

You know, I've tried to remain respectful to you despite your internet tough guy persona, but quite frankly you are a dick head who is probably still living at home in your parent's basement thinking that you are the king of your town b/c back when you were in high school, someone once thought that you were cool.

The next time that I read something that you have posted that is even remotely intelligent, coherent or on topic will be the first time. You are a waste of bandwidth and oxygen and should just do yourself and everyone else a favor and STFU.

Did I mention that you are a dick head? I'm sure I did, but I just wanted to make sure that you didn't mistake my true feelings for anything short of what they are.

Dick head.
