Just wanted to say how happy I am with my New Linksys WRT54GL wireless router.
I have always been a SMC man, but after reading here about the Linksys WRT54GL I decided to buy one. I received it yesterday from newegg and put it in place of my SMC 2804WBR and I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of the installation and the range of the wireless. I now get 4 out of 5 bars on my laptop where I was getting 2 to 3 with my SMC.

Hi Again,
with that said, does Linksys make a switch that stacks up with the WRT54GL router?
I am talking about physical size here.

I think the EZXS88W EtherFast® 8-Port 10/100 switch is stackable, as is the corresponding 16 port model. The 5 port switch is not. It is much smaller.

Specs call for 1 meter minimum. You could have errors with a cable that short.

Hi,
Yes the up-link cable is 1 meter and all the others are many meters long.
The 8 port looked like it would to me too. THe 16 is just over kill. I would never need that many ports.
Thanks a lot everyone.
