No Green Bars?

At work we have some new laptops that have wireless on them using the Windows XP Utility. We can see the Network connection icon with the two computers hooked together, but we don't see the signal strength indicator icon. Anyone know a way to get that back if it's somehow not there?

If I dbl click the LAN connectino it shows me the bars in there but we'd rather have them in the SYstem Tray so people cna just see them and know they are connected fine.

I believe the signal strength systray icon is a feature of the card, not XP. See if you can get updated software/drivers for their cards.
