So I have a computer that I am building(nothing fancy by any means). The processor is a P4 2.8 Prescott. For whatever reason the motherboard is only recognizing half of the processor speed. The motherboard is a MSI P4MAM2-V9(MS7095 Ver 1) Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I get the correct clock speed?

Your mobo could have the bus speed or the multiplier manually configured, or maybe EIST is enabled (although I don't know that much about it cause I mainly use AMD's)

Your motherboard only supports 533mhz fsb, your CPU uses 800mhz FSB..the CPU isn't supported by your board.
