NO Generic IDE type 47 in WinME

I booted up today, and it did not recognize my Plextor 12/10/32 IDE CD-RW, it says "No SCSI devices were found !!ERROR!!. So I took my computer apart, took out my IDE cable, just connected it back, it identified the CD-ROM ok, then I get to windows, and it says "No SCSI devices were found !!ERROR!!. Same thing. I look in my device manager, and under "disk drives" I have NO "GENERIC DISK TYPE 47", this is where it gets weird....I boot up in safe mode, and everything is fine, the Type 47 is there...Boot back in normal mode, it is not there again. Also, under hard disk controllers I have the yellow exclamation points next to Primary AND secondary dual fifos.

How can I get this back to normal, or do I have to re-install windows? ( I tried installing VIA busmaster, but nothing).

Thanks,

Shamrock

Nevermind, problem solved.

the Busmaster was not initialized properly, and it placed a "NOIDE" value in the registry, I just deleted it and rebooted...it works fine now.
