a 120mm fan wouldnt do much good as the heatsink is only 60x60x25. But if you were to use a shroud and funnel the 120mm over the heatsink, then that would be nice, and then have exhast vents to allow cool air to wash directly over the RAM.... Yummy

The more CFM, the better. It's not like we're trying to mount the fan on the heatsink anyway...

Just mounted this heatsink (arctic alumina adhesive) onto a GF2-V because even an undervolted crystal orb was still too noisy. So far so good. No additional cooling yet. Does take up 2 PCI slots though.

BTW, where are you planning to buy that Alpha heatsink from? Are you gonna strip it from a PEP66? IMO, get a PAL15 and leave the thin 60mm fan on it.

I have one of these on my GF3 and 10 more in a shoebox Millisec is going out of business and they're the only ones that carry the square pin 55mm heatsink, so I had to stock up
