Antonio Gates is the next Tony Gonzalez IMO. Couple that with LT, and you have an offense that rivals the chiefs, but with a better defense .

i had picked the chargers as a "pity" pick at the beginning of the season, and things are looking pretty good so far. :D

Only disappointment is that we have the same situation as the Bengals did last yr. Rivers just waiting for his time, while Brees rips it up. Such a waste. :(

yea, his strained groin is really affecting his game. how many yards did he have yesterday? 36? but i guess its not necessarily a bad thing, as it gives the team a better chance to showcase the other players (ie: gates) who previously would've been overlooked while the defense focuses on lt.

How lame... this is like the red sox celebrating after 86 years of sucking ass.

One good year and everyone is talking world series or in this case, playoff bound.

yep. keep in mind everytime a san diego team gets to the big dance, they get killed. san fran jacking the chargers up a few years ago. padres getting swept by the yanks. padres getting beat by the tigers 4 games to 1 in the '84 series.

Hey not that I don't like LT, Brees or now Antonio Gates or the chargers in general... just don't count your chips before the season's over.

Well if you have followed these posts since the season began, the OP started off saying they would go 16-0. A lot of this is tongue in cheek. Its fun because they have been such a let down and now look like an NFL team.

The Chargers have a lot of great young talent that I think people overlooked. Brees, Tomlinson, Gates, Jammer, Caldwell, among others. They are a solid team that just needed time to adjust to the league and get acclimated to playing together.

I'm curious to see where Brees ends up next year.

when did he play MLB?

my bad, that was Drew Henson, not Brees...who sucked in the yankees organization and currently sucks with the cowboys.
