I am having computer problems (descripted below) and I am pretty sure the solution is the repair option in the Windows XP boot CD. The thing is I only use SATA HD's and the XP CD can't recognize the drives. I don't have a floppy so I can't load drivers with F6 either. Is there anything I can do? I could get a floppy later but it'd be at least a week or two and I'd rather fix it sooner.
I'll describe the problem just in case I can fix it w/o using the XP CD. Basically I turn on my computer and it goes through the normal loading but when the XP logo/load should show it just goes to black. When I try to safe-mode the load stops at drvmain.sdb. In fact it's exactly like this old thread I found here. Except I haven't tried using the XP CD for reasons above. Chiboy in the thread stated he fixed the problem by messing with the CD drive wires. I don't know what to do at this point so any help is appreciated.
Thanks all.
