No DVI signal

Ok so I just bought a new Acer AL1731 monitor and I've been trying to get the DVI signal to work. My video card is a VisionTek Geforce 3 TI500.

From my testing it seems the VGA input is fine but the DVI input stops working right when windows finishes loading or about the same time as when you're suppose to see the Desktop.
It seems to be a driver issue of some sort as when I try booting DVI in safe mode, it works perfectly.

I have the newest Nvidia driver as well as my monitor driver.

Any insights as to what might be the problem?

Thanks

BTW my comp specs are:

P4 2.2GHz
Visiontek Geforce 3 Ti500
1024 DDR PC 2100 RAM in Dual channel mode
Asrock P4S55FX+
350W PSU

wow, u have the exact same problem I had with my gefore3 ti500. Here's a link to my old post

The problem is that dvi wasnt implemented well on the gf3s, so u need to update the bios to get it working right.

Heres a LINK to a site that has a geforce3 ti500 bios and flash utility.
