The bottom line is that the idiots down there have found out the hard way that at some point you run out of other people's money to hand out. Antagonize business, nationalize international companies to make sure foreign investment stops, destroy the local economy by taking assets out of the hands of the productive and hand it to the unproductive, and on and on.

Now they've reached the point where they need to make hard choices. If you don't pay off those ebil banksters, they'll stop lending you more money and you'll have no money to pay for even the most basic of services. Pay off those ebil banksters the interest you agreed to, and your citizens suffer because you have no money to pay for basic services.

Venezuela has a ton of resources, including oil, and yet has turned into a complete and total disaster. This should be an abject lesson for all the Sean-Penn-esque idiots who saw Chavez as some sort of hero for the people. This is what Chavez and his scum brought their country.

We will provide them with shelter, food, clothing and we will educate their children at twice the cost of educating English speaking children. The DOJ under Eric Holder has stated that they will provide legal services to these children at taxpayer's expense. There will be no work for these people. There is not enough work for the people here now. We will tap those that have to support those that do not have until equilibrium is reached.

But do not, do not...speak against this! The progressive left will not tolerate your bigotry! Our systems will collapse under this burden. But do not for one second think that this will be by accident. It is by design. We will do it better than Venezuela! We will do it the right way with the right people in charge! Its a catch 22: Pay the importers now so you can import water and medicine but place your only source of income in grave danger or you can keep your single income source safe in the hopes that you can get enough money from it to pay for water and medicine down the road.

It's not just some wealthy guys saying "hey, take that money away from the poor and make sure you pay it to bondholders!". The real situation is that they've mismanaged their way into a no-win situation, the chickens are coming home to roost. They need to continue to borrow money to pay for even basic necessities, but in order to keep borrowing they need to pay interest to the bondholders first. Without paying the bondholders, they lose pretty much they only real income they have (oil revenues).

I only have sympathy for those in Venezuela who opposed Chavez and his henchmen. All those who supported him and his cronies deserve the misery they get now.

You might be able to find a small number of outliers who want it, but 99% of the Left recognizes that we need a healthy balance of capitalistic and socialistic policies to function well as a society. Since you perceive me to be the spokesperson for all things on the right, I would say to you, the spokesperson for the left, that you need to up your efforts in the PR department. It's really second rate now. The impression the nation gets from the left is not what you think it is. You are perceived to be a bunch of brainwashed bots that have been taught you're the only one's capable of meaningful thought. Your ideas and notions of what is best for the nation are thought to be derived from childish thinking that does not take into account the consequences of your actions.
