No DirectX in XP?

Ok this is really scaring me. I just installed Max Payne and it won't let me run it. Gave me an overly technical DirectX-related error and reminded me that it requires DirectX. So i did a search and nothing came up. So i figured it doesn't come with the CD, so i went on their site and downloaded the latest version. Clicked on it and it said that it wasn't designed for Windows NT. Grrr.

works fine on my XP

version: XP Pro ver 5.10.2600 build 2600

Finished max payne 3 times already.

BTW, never had to install direct X

Hmm nevermind, it works. Only gives me that error if i try to enable anti-aliasing.

If i remember my XP Hype, wasn't XP supposed to be "fully integrated" with direct x 8?

Windows XP comes with DirectX 8.1a
