ugh, another ipod thread? this is almost as bad as the hurricane/racism threads
Well, you can say that atleast Apple isn't racist anymore now that they offer it in black. 😕

yup, well it claims 14hrs. but i guess u could easily rape the battery if you keep fiddling with it and turn on that color screen. backlight off option?

It could be like the 2nd gen Mini's too though. They claim 18 hours but I've gotten 20+ on many occasions.

I think it looks amazing. If I didn't need a new digitial camera and an Xbox360, I would pick one up in a second.

black one looks sweet.........too bad it'll undoubtedly be covered up with some sort of iPod case

yeah I miss gurck... shame he got kicked, and for a relatively minor offence in my eyes. I'd love to see how our favourite @sshole reacted to the changes apple have made. I've been doing some research and have a whole load of facts to p|ss on his feeble arguments.

But yeah, the nano rocks. I'm not sure how good an idea it was to replace the mini, I wonder why they just didn't call it the new mini...

Edit: but where the hell is the 30Gb iPod, dammit!

Meh. Another piece of hype setup by Apple.

Look, now our iPod shuffle is a bit bigger and has a color screen!! OMG OMG OMG!! What can it do? Umm....the same as the other iPods...except with COLOR!!!

im thinking to get this and use my shuffle as a memory stick. what should i engrave on it?

why did Apple copy creative in naming the new ipod?

zen nano plus

Because Apple is cooler and bigger? In 2 years time nobody is going to remember (or very few) the Creative Nano Plus. And in 2 years 90% of people will know the iPod Nano. Also it is likely Apple (or anyone) can't trademark the term "Nano"

Well, it uses flash memory. I'd bet on 6 and maybe 8gb capacitates within a year but not much more. Although, hopefully this can drive the prices of flash memory down as production increased.

There are advantages to having a smaller capacity as it forces you to cycle your music. The music selection on my 20GB Zen is pretty stale at this point. Also, this should be a lot more durable than a hard-drive based player.
