So I coming home from the Getty Center down Sunset and I saw this sign that said "No Cruising, If you are caught passing through the same intersection more than 2 times in 4 hours, you may be cited".

Well it must suck if you're lost in west hollywood.

I'm sure the law was made to protect residents from being harrassed. Not sure if it will work though.

Wow, that's terrible! What if you are moving or running a lot of errands? That law is so wrong.

no cruising ordinances are used to keep city streets clear of useless traffic. In my small home town it is used to try to prevent highschoolers from just driving around all night and causing trouble

I find it amusing that the generation which established Cruising as a passtime (the baby-boomers) are now trying to outlaw it. It's amusing to me how the boomers became even more uptight than the people they were protesting against when they were young.

No kidding. I went to a wedding recpetion a few days ago and a guy in his 40's was talking about all the stuff he used to do as a kid. Climb water towers. Take lugnuts off of police cars. Burn out, drag race. And they never really got in trouble for it. Now all the people that are his age that did all that same stuff are the police officers and law makers that think it's rediculous that people would think about doing anything like that and make the laws so that people cant do it anymore without spending a night in jail sometimes.

People need to be 1. Less sensitive, 2. More considerate of others, and 3. Able to take responsability for their own actions.
