i have an old a7n8x mobo, and a new seagate 7200.7 sataII. i have no idea where to find it, ihow can i get to the bios that would show it. should it show up in my compter? i reset my bios to make sure i didn't have anything turned off from before and i reinstalled my mobo drivers. is my board too old?

I believe your board does support SATA and it should of even come with cables too.

Have you look at your manual, the instructions should be there.

if not try HERE

Edit: its only for the deluxe model not standard.

There are many variations of your board. If it truly is just an A7N8X, it does not support SATA.

You could always get an add-in card to run the drive.
