no-cd patch to play BF1942 v1.5

I know its early to ask but is there one available anywhere or if not how long would it take?

Tis soooo annoying having to get the game cd out to play the game online now that all the servers have updated to v1.5 :|

I would like to be able to put the cd away like i did with v1.45 and just fire up the game at will and play online without having to scramble round trying to find the disc...

0.4j still works fine with BF1942 1.5.

0.5 is supposed to be released on the 7th

Am I mistaken, or does vers 1.5 have some graphics improvements? I have been away from playing for a week and a half, and after having to download 1.5, I could swear I see improvements/differences in some of the visuals. I have a Radeon 9700.

Maybe someone cleaned my monitor while I was away.
