I was using my computer just fine and I plugged in a USB key and suddenly my computer just froze. The screen went black, the HDD activity light stayed red. I hit the reboot button but nothing would happen, so I turned it off trough the power button. What happens now is that I don't get anything in my screen after I turn the computer on, and the HDD activity light will just stay on during booting. I tried leaving only the CPU, 1 RAM stick on all 4 dimm's and video plugged in and nothing. I tried clearing the CMOS and nothing.

My PSU is only like 3 months old and it's an ENERMAX 450w 20pin, atx12v. My computer specs are below. Thanks for any help. Video card is ATI radeon 9600 256mg.

Have you tried switching back to a PS2 keyboard to see if the problem goes away? If you switch back to a ps2 keyboard and the problem goes away...try this...while ps2 keyboard is connected go into the bios and make sure that your usb support features are turned on. are u using the rear usb connectors or are you possibley using a front of the case usb port..front usb ports are usually connected via cables to a mobo header...could they possibley be connected wrong?
