No boot - No beep codes .......whats my issue?

I usually leave my PC on 24/7, but yesterday, i decided to shutdown. When I tried to start back up , the PC fans and board turned on, but nothing responded. No display, no peripherals.

I assumed it was a corrupt mobo bios, so i reset the cmos jumper and tried several power refreshes (AC outlet off/on...etc)....still nothing. I figure , wow, my mobo is screwed. I went out and got a cheapo mobo with new memory (new one uses ddr3) and I have the same issue! Power to board and components, but no usb, pc2 or display.

(Processor, NB and SB all get warm - like they are on/ working)

What could be going on?

Swap the power supply to see if that fixes it. Even though it is supplying enough juice to power the fans, it might not be enough to boot the system. That has happened to me on a couple of occasions.

May be worth uplugging the power and data cables off all drives too, and see if it posts, if it does reconnect them one at a time. I once had a problem where a faulty CD-ROM drive was causing the exact same problem. Unplugged and the problem vanished

Yep, "Build & Boot" is a good way to find faulty components.

Start with the motherboard, CPU & HSF, ONE stick of RAM, and video card only. If that boots to BIOS, add the boot drive and see if it's recognized in BIOS, if so, add more RAM, if that works, add optical drive...
If you can't get into BIOS on the first attempt, reseat the CPU and try again.
Kinger may indeed be right. It COULD be a weak PSU, or it could be a bad motherboard...but always try the easy and free first before running out and buying parts you may not need.

Today, i was able to pull find a new psu I had bought about a year ago. I used the newer motherboard I got, 1 stick of ram and the boot drive. Same problem. I disconnected the boot drive - same problem. I took out the memory all together and tried it, and i got repeated fast beeping. I'm not sure what this means? Is my CPU likely fried then?

WE don't know what motherboard you have, but odds are, the fast repeated beeping is telling you that you have no RAM...
You have to have at least one stick to get to the BIOS...otherwise, you get errors and beeps.

For example, the AMI BIOS beep codes include:

11 Short Beeps Your problem is in the Cache Memory chips on the motherboard. Reseat or Replace these chips.

1 Long, 3 Short Beeps You've probably just added memory to the motherboard since this is a conventional or extended memory failure. Generally this is caused by a memory chip that is not seated properly. Reseat the memory chips.

Do you know anyone who would let you try your CPU in their PC?
Your problem could be processor.

BTW, you say:

I used the newer motherboard I got, 1 stick of ram and the boot drive.

No video card? You kind of need one of those to get into the BIOS...
