I've read many problems about this particular issue. Everything is installed. I've checked all the wiring and cables, they seem to be right. But when I push the power button on, the computer is powered, but nothing shows up. I have a Leadtek GeForce 4 MX440 AGP video card. When it's powered, the fan spins and everything, but there is no video signal so the monitor won't display. What am I suppose to do?

I've read at Hardware Analysis about this specific issue. Check it out at:

I need help! And people at Hardware Analysis are having the same problems too!

Make sure that the board is properly seated on the standoffs so that it is not being shorted.

Reseat the video card and memory modules several times. The slots on this board are extremely tight and you may think they are completely seated when they aren't. The mem modules in particular, on my board, made a definite crunching sound when the sticks finally went all the way in. You may want to remove the board from the case to do this in order to keep from flexing it too much. It wouldn't hurt to remove it and try it out of the case, anyway, to be sure it isn't shorting on something.

What do you guys mean by shorting? Does the board have to be seated on the standoffs on the case for it to work?

Sounds like a power supply issue to me. These ECS boards are EXTREMELY picky about the power source. Try what HappyPuppy said, reseat the video card and the memory. I would even go as far as booting w/ just the video card and none of your other devices, even your CD drives.

Unfortunately, this is the price you pay for going w/ this board. It really is a great deal, but it's just too darn picky. I have this same board, and at first I tried an Antec 830 (w/ 300W PS). I had the exact same problem, powers up, fans turn, but nothing. So I exchanged the case for an Antec 835 (w/ 350W PS). That did the trick.

You may also want to try the Clear CMOS jumper for good measure. You never know w/ this board.

Good luck.

I built 3 systems for friends using that exact board. On one I had no post and no beeps which means no video card installed.I removed and installed it 3 times before it seated.I mean you have to really bear down that one.The agp slot is really tight, the pci slots aren't that tight, thank God.Hey for 55 bucks that board flies.
