no beep codes coming from new Abit KT7A

setting up my new computer. ITs a t-brd 900 on an abit kt7a.

when I remove the video card I here the proper beep code for a missing v-card, when I remove the RAM I here that code. But when all of the pieces are together and in the system the speaker won't make the 1 beep successful code, but plays a couple of low-frequency clicks and then plays them continuously. Has anyone heard of anything like this before.

Also it will I guess check the video card, as it does turn the monitor on for a second(gives it some signal), but then it will turn it back off(gets no signal) almost immediately.

Try it out of the case

tried it out of the case and it still does the same thing. The other odd thing is that it will make the noise when the video card is out. It just makes the normal beeps on top of the grinding noise.

Take out any unneccessay components, network cards, modems?
