Hey guys,

OK, I was watching a DVD on my computer when my computer completely shut off. So I was pissed but turned the computer back on... nothing. So I figured my power supply fried so I bought and installed a new one. OK, so now I press the power button and everything gets power, but my computer doesn't even post! Nothing happens besides fans spinning. So I replace the mobo figuring that was the problem. I buy and install the KT333 Soltek and have high hopes. So I push the power button and ... same bloody thing. CPU fan spinning but the mobo doesn't post or anything. What the hell!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If I had to guess. I would say you have a fried CPU. Also, though it probably isnt it, check and make sure that the Video card is in all the way. But I am guessing CPU. Ape Out.

Most likely your CPU is fried. But to be sure, unplug EVERYTHING that is not essential from the mainboard. Leave only the cord from the power supply to mobo, the cpu, the cpu's fan, the speaker cord, the power switch cord. Unplug all IDE cables, power going into hard drives, CD-ROM, PCI/AGP cards, floppy cable, usb cords, keyboard, mouse, speakers, memory, etc. Now turn your computer on. If you get beeps, then it's not your mobo or CPU. If you don't get beeps, most likely CPU...but you could have another bad mobo.
Check under your mobo to make sure you don't have any extra screws causing a short.
